Various Waterfowl mostly passing through on migration

In 2009 we saw a surplus of Ring-necked Ducks. This year they are far fewer in numbers but we now have a multitude of Buffleheads.
The following pictures are of the mating rituals and some of the antics they a get up to in trying to be the winning mate of the far fewer females.
the winner gets to go on a honeymoon.

then sets up shop.
Mallards also are arriving in greater numbers.

Of course we can't forget the common Mergansers.
Followed by the aforementioned Ringnecks
And finally, The ever popular ( and handsome) Wood Duck seen in the first picture dropping in on the Bufflehead couple
almost overlooked a female Mallard..
