Plight of the Ducklings





a couple of days ago this Mallard mother had 9 offspring. Here, on the Northside of the sanctuary there are only 7.

When she and I both arrived at the Southside shore ( I took long way around while she and they went directly across) another had been lost.              Down to 6 only. Assume Snapping turtle attacks.

2 Sandhill Cranes in the deadwood West end of marsh.
