Elk and other things from Monday,Tuesday and Wednesday.

No Bulls in evidence (yet)

Feeling sorry for our crippled, one eyed Vixen I took a few scraps of meat out. She was nowhere to be seen today but here were 2 young ones I had never seen before.
Larger one, presumably a male was not prepared to  share

Female waiting patiently

Then approached cautiously from ther rear

Only to get a whupping

scooted down the road but made a tight "U" turn

Crept back and finally got to eat when the male had enough.

Female Mallard dining out

2 female woodies

When Rio Algom hired  Trappers to reduce the beaver population the were far too successful. The whole colony was decimated. Last beaver I saw was in late July.
However it would appear there is a new man-in-town. Came to repopulate Sheriff Creek Cattail marsh.

Autumn comes to Sheriff Creek
