Cormorant introduces its offspring to Sheriff Creek.

Parent spent a lot of time with wings extended. Was it shading the youngster?   Think not 'cause early morning sun was not strong. Maybe defense...protecting from possible predators

Mother Still in attendance.

Early morning Heron with 2 Sandhills in the background

Almost every day for past 3 weeks these 2 would fly in at dusk, spend the night then depart about an hour after sun-up.

Solitary Sandpiper

Came upon 3 of these guys. One scooted into the dense underbrush, one climbed high into a tree while this one decided to keep an eye on me.
