Charlie fails to make friends

On Lake Superior, a mother  Merganser and her flock. Just cruising. At least a hundred meters from shore.

Charlie spies them.

Decides they would be fun to play with.

Mothher thinks otherwise and gets between Charlie and the ducklings

obeying the order to scoot!

As Charlie gets closer mother begins to lead him away. Cahrlie thinks he's gaining.

More subterfuge

Charlie gives it one more try then gives up. Good thing too, as we were beginning to think we would have to travel to Wisconsin to fetch him back. 


 But (sour grapes) decides he wants to build sand castles instead,
