Returning Fox family to the wild.

After many weeks of healing mange is gone but her eye may not be 100%.
And now were ready to be released.
Fortunately the weather was good  (sunny,25 degrees and a nice breeze) as the release area was steep and rugged.
Carrying the foxes, water, and food required a few rest stops.
Area is isolated and it is hoped sufficiently secluded that only the feeding volunteeers will know the location.
1st Photo: awaiting the delivery from "Wild At Heart" the re-habilitation center.

Setting up the Automatic Wildlife Camera to record the next few day's Fox Family's movements (or whoever else shows up to dine on their food)

Mother patiently waits while her offspring are penned up.

Kits would not voluntarilly come out of the "carriers"

This one voiced its opinion of the whoe ordeal

There are actually 8 in the pile.

A small group went  back  down the hill to bring up the food. When they returned the Vixen had managed to escape. At that point it was decided to leave the area. Previously the pln was to wait quietly nearby till the foxes settled down the remove the enclosure's door and watch the "action" unfortunatlely we were unable to observe the youngsters' coming out  party.

So it was down the hill and off home.
