Weekend Wonders

The sanctuary is becoming a Waterlilly garden. If the weather keeps up the entire marsh will be covered.
Here we have a Beaver dining on Willow twigs it has harvested.

The Canada Geese are still streaming North. Would have expected they were all gone by this late date.

A pair of Cedar Waxwings (again)
One of the very few Great Blue Herons that have  made a rare appearance. Far fewer than in past years.
Then there is a Monarch Butterfly. Somewhat worse for wear.

And a female Goldfinch.
Group of Tree Swallows. Appears some are fledglings
