Bits n pieces

Cruising the back-roads, at 9:45 pm came upon 5 Sandhill Cranes preparing to bed down for the night.
Light was fading fast (dusk) and this is all that the camera was able to record (RAW).
The light dots are reflections of their eyes from car headlights.

But when it was all run through the computer this was result.
They were in the middle of a roadside Beaver Pond.

15 minutes earlier on same stretch of road:

4 Loons No young ones

 Who Names Birds anyway?
This is a Yellow-Rumped Warbler. Due to a small yellow spot on the backside. Certainly not its most distinguishing mark!
 How about Masked Warbler
How about "Masked" Warbler? or Racoon Faced? Or Bandit even?

Mother Wood-Duck and her 6 little ones.
