Ruffed Grouse Male in full courting display (and other stuff)

Thought these guys only went a'courting in the spring?
Gives a new slant on climate change.
Leaves no doubt as to why they are called Ruffed Grouse.

Here's Great Blue Heron visiting a beaver lodge.
And
a Female Hooded Merganser swimming and diving.
Flying over
A single Cormorant and then a flock o f Canada Geese.
Chilly early morning with frost being burnt off in the strong sun except for the shaded parts.
And lastly.
A strange kind of fungus growing in the branches of a Spruce.
