Sunday. Hawk,Beaver, Cormorant, Butterfly and ducks of course.

A Red Admiral butterfly (comes in orange too)

This is a Double Crested Cormorant

Some Mallards.

and a Pair.

Another Yellow-Rumped Warbler
Then a Broad-winged Hawk.

Common Merganser couple.

And a pair of Red Breasted Mergansers. (another 1st for me)
another day another Flicker

A Bufflehead couple
and just for good measure a Ringneck Pair

Next up: The Beaver, with the first picture showing it holding a branch like a popsicle and munching away. The crunching was loud enough for me to hear.

after a bit another (mate maybe) showed up, had a conversation and was bumped away.
Note: the beaver on the right is not an albino. Just wet, reflecting the light.

This picture show the Beaver's tail just beginning to rise for the alarm "Slap"

Followed by the resulting splash.
This next one is not a beaver but a Muskrat.
A Beaver swims with a Bow Wave with little or no wake.
The Muskrat has ripples as a wake caused by the side to side, snake like movement of the tail aiding the swimming.
