Fisher, Dowitchers, Killdeeer & others

This is a Fisher. A large member of the Weasel family. Seldom seen and even less so in the water. This one swam nearly 300 meters across the marsh then disappeared in the bulrushes. I was surprised at the speed it swam. Faster than a Beaver or Muskrat.
and for comparison, a Beaver.
Next series of photos are of a Short-billed Dowitcher.
then in the same water, Lesser Yellowlegs.
and then both.
and still in the same wetland, a Killdeer.
just for variety.....
the female Tree Swallow can just be seen in the opening. sitting on the nest waiting to either be fed by the male or for her turn to hunt bugs. I am not sure of Swallow protocols.

and another Caspian Tern
