Update on the unwell Fox

After having caught a bit fat sassy racoon the first night, on the third day of setting the live trap we were successful in capturing the injured fox.
It was showing a good deal of improvements in the fur beginng to grow back but the eye infection was a concern.
Because of the eye we transported the poor thing to the Wild Animal Rehabilitation Hospital near Sudbury.
Other than leaving us a few souvenirs on the floor of the car it was a well behaved passenger.

After a quick look, Vet there said it appears to have had Mange  and scratching at it my have been the cause of the eye injury. Fox is now an inmate/patient and we will be advised as to its condition and prognosis. If it can be released back into the wild we will fetch it back home. May take a couple/few weeks.
