New Hole, Old Pole

May also be a new bird as well. They all look alike.
What is interesting this time is the chips, chunks, and sawdust being expelled from 'way down inside.
emerging with sawdust.

throws the shavings up and to the left.
then flings chips up and to the right.
here it spits out a mouthfull of wood dust up and to the left  PTOOEY!
Here he hears the call o f a potential mate and was gone a second later.

Goldeneye and Hooded Merganser pair
spooked.

Here is an update on the poor unfortunate fox first photographed last Saturday.
Appears to have improved but I think it was just a case of better lighting this time.
I assisted in setting a "live" trap for it. In hopes that we  can transport it to a Wildlife recovery facilty call Wild at Heart, where they should be able to rehabilitate it.
