Otters jump the gun on Ice Fishing

Tuesday at Sun-up.
The otter trio were breaking through the ice crust as they surfaced to eat/breath.
First series of photos were takenn before the sun crested the hills and consequently the light was poor. Second group has good lighting.

Breakthrough.

in this shot, notice the icicle on the whiskers and the shards of ice on the head.

here are the 3 and one has a fish while the other 2 go back under.
