Serpent River Otter revisited

With acouple of days of milder weather the river has opened up . No ned to search for openings in the ice  to surface.

Tongue or pink Salmon ^^ ?

Readying for another dive.

And while I was studying the Otter an inquisitive Muskrat swam by to see what I was up to. No hibernation for this one I guess.

Bald Eagles and other stuff

MATURE

Immature

Black version of Grey Squirrel. Not native to these parts

Frost on vegetation in stream

the One-eyed Mother fox

Showing she's hale and hearty after her rescue and treatment for mange last summer.

These three are (I believe) the reason the Albino Squirrel has disappeared. Chased off . Bit of racism ?

Albino Red Squirel

Seen only once. It did not seem to be welcomed by regular coloured Red Squirels in  the area. 3 visits over next 3 days....it wasn't there.

Why they are called "Whitetailed Deer"

The Buck had a serious limp indicating some type of injury but unable to locate the problem. No wound showing

And just up the road in a farmer's field, but looking for chickens not deer, this Coyote.
