Common Mergansers

As luck would have it, my prime camera was returned to me Wednesday but after only 12 shots is was apparent it had not been repaired properly. So....off it went back to the shop.

Slim Pickins Sunday

Not much happening. But good news is that my Primary camera has been cured of its malady and released by the Pentax hospital. Expecting arrival within hours.

Meanwhile:
stumbled upon this deep in the woods. Trying to determine history and purpose. Cottage? Hunt Camp? Trapper's Cabin?       Stay  tuned                                                                                    Stay tuned.

4 Kestrels pre migration assembly.

Normally quite solitary. Will travel South together likely gathering others on the way.

And No, this is not a Kestrel

Checking for good fishing spots

Has spotted something

getting ready to strike

 Missed!
and I missed getting a picture of the strike as well. Arms got tired waiting. Don't have the unlimited waiting endurance of a GBH

But came up empty handed (beaked?), wet and bedraggled, from almost complete submersion.
